Who we are

Quotes
Written quotes are valid for thirty days from the date of issue. After that we reserve the right to re-price if material costs or labour rates have moved. The quote is based on the scope, drawings and specification listed inside it; anything you add or change afterwards is handled as a variation (see below).
Contract formation
A signed acceptance of our written quote forms the contract between us. You can sign and return by post, email or hand delivery — whichever suits you. Until you sign, no work is committed and no deposit is due.
Payments
Payment is by stage. The signed quote sets out the deposit, the interim payment dates tied to clearly defined stages of work, and the balance on practical completion. We accept bank transfer; card and cash on request.
Variations
Anything that changes the scope, materials or programme of the work after the quote is signed is a variation. Variations are documented in writing with a price and a schedule impact, and they are only carried out once you have signed them off. Nothing gets added to the bill mid-build without your written agreement.
Defects period and workmanship guarantee
On practical completion we walk the finished work with you and write a snagging list together. Items on that list are addressed before the final invoice is due. After that, our written workmanship guarantee covers defects in the work for the period stated in your project contract. Manufacturer warranties on products such as windows, boilers and roofing are passed to you on completion.
Force majeure
Where extraordinary events outside our control delay the work — extreme weather, supply chain failure, statutory shutdowns — we keep you informed in writing and reschedule the remaining stages without penalty. We will never use the clause as a get-out for our own mistakes.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms or in any project contract limits liability we cannot legally exclude — for example liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Subject to that, our total liability under any project contract is capped at the value of the contract, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost income or rental cost while you are out of the property.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, please tell us first — see the complaints page for how to raise a formal complaint and what to expect. Where we cannot resolve a dispute directly, we both agree to consider an independent dispute-resolution scheme before going to court. The county courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any unresolved dispute.
Governing law
These terms and any project contract are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Website use
We provide the content on this site for general information only. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but a quote is the only document you should rely on for prices and timelines. Please do not copy or republish the photography, copy or design without asking us first.
